KAITHAL: AV mohur (10.79g), ND, KM-11, in the name of Ahmad Shah Durrani, crude Very Fine, RRR.
Most of the coins of the so-called Cis-Sutlej states, including Kaithal, are based on the Sahrind issues in the name of Ahmad Shah Durrani. The issues can be distinguished, at least in part, by symbols and mintmarks, sometimes by the initial of the ruler. The series remains under-researched. Gold coins of the small state of Kaithal are rarely found.
