From an old collection, Christie's, 27 June 1974, not from the recent hoard, from which the first examples were marketed in the Triton X auction in January 2007.

ROHILKHAND: Khan Bahadur Khan, 1857-1858, AR rupee (11.03g), Bareli, AH1274 year 73, KM-46, issue of the Indian Rebellion of 1857, bold strike, lovely iridescent toning, bold strike, Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated, RRR, ex. Eck Prud'homme collection.
Khan Badur Khan Rohilla was the grandson of Hafiz Rahmat Khan. He formed his own government in Bareli in 1857 Indian revolt against British. When the Indian Rebellion of 1857 failed Bareli, was subjugated again by the British. Khan Bahadur Khan was sentenced to death and hanged in the Kotwali on February 24, 1860. An extremely rare and desirable type.

Probably unique, the only known gold dinar of the Balkh mint bearing the name of Chingiz Khan. Was sold in the New York Auction XIV, lot 545, in January 2007, and is now listed as Zeno-39635.

TURKEY: Abdul Mejid, 1839-1861, AR 20 kurush (24.04g), Kostantiniye, AH1255 year 5, light original tone, somewhat proof like fields, About Uncirculated, RRR.
The design is very similar to the gold reform series of Abdul Mejid with the exception that this has 5 stars above on the obverse rather than 7 stars. The fifth year of Abdul Mejid (1844) is the first year of modern machine struck coinage of Turkey. This is the first example of this extremely rare pattern we have ever encountered. and an important and historic Ottoman coin.

SUTAYIDS: Undetermined ruler, fl. 1349-1350, AV dinar (3.75g), Irbil, AH750, A-2319G, unpublished and probably unique, Extremely Fine, RRRR.
The Sutayids were a minor branch of the Uyrat Mongols who came to Iraq during the Ilkhan period, founding their briefly surviving dynasty in northern Iraq after the death of Abu Sa'id in AH736. Their capital was at Irbil, now in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq. Silver coins were minted at Irbil, also at al-Mawsil (Mosul), 'Aqar and Sinjar. They surrendered to the Jalayrids shortly after AH750. The first ruler of the Sutayids, Ibrahimshah, died or was expelled in AH748. I have been unable to find a reference to his successor.

From the 1996 hoard, as are virtually all known dinars of Ghazna 618. The hoard allegedly contained between 150 and 200 examples, all from the same dies.
