Item No. 130844 PAINGANGA: Anonymous, ca. 500-400 BC, AR ½ karshapana (1.69g), Ra-—, 4 punches: elephant left, 3 branches around 3 annulets (cf. R-132) (twice), 3 fish swimming around annulet with triangle of pellets around (cf. R-232) (type A), squarish flan, choice EF. Painganga was located to the southwest of Nagpur. Overstruck on unrecorded type, with similar fish design twice (without triangle of pellets around). |
