Lot 1042 CIVIC COPPER: AE falus (3.79g), Qandahar, AH1308, A-3253, KM-D101, crown-in-wreath on obverse, choice Very Fine, RR. The crown on this very rare type somewhat resembles the British crown that appeared on the copper fulus of Qandahar during the second British invasion in 1878-1879 (AH1296 on the coins). The reason for the crown on this type is unknown. |
