QARA QOYUNLU: Hasan 'Ali, 1467-1468, AR tanka (5.01g), NM, ND, A-2497, countermark in square, on Aq Qoyunlu type A-2512 of Hasan, vf on vf host.
A very peculiar issue, as Hasan 'Ali killed himself shortly before Hasan began striking coins in his own name in AH872, thus during Hasan 'Ali's actual reign after his father's death, after his uprising against his father, during which time most of these countermarked pieces were produced.
