QAJAR: Fath 'Ali Shah, 1797-1834, AV toman (5.34g), Tabriz, AH1224, A-2863, type U, presentation strike on carefully produced round planchet, with hand-cut oblique reeded edge, choice EF, RRR, ex. Richard Accola collection.
Presentation strikes of Fath 'Ali Shah in both silver & gold were struck almost exclusively at Tabriz, despite the fact that the Qajar capital was located at Tehran.
