JALAYRIDS: Shaykh Uways I, 1356-1374, AR 2 dinars (3.45g), 'Askar Mukram, DM, A-2302K, type KhA, very clear khams 'ashar and trace of month Ramadan, mint on both sides, some hornsilver near the rim, mainly on reverse, Very Fine, RRR.

The mint of 'Askar Mukram has previously been reported only for the Abbasid caliph al-Muqtadir (dated 299 and possibly also 315), and for several dated in the 340s and 350s for the Buwayhids. From several specimens from the same dies, the full obverse marginal text is khamis 'ashar / ramadan / sanat ithnayn / wa sab'in, "15th of Ramadan year [7]72".
