Early imitation, believed to have been produced in the Tukharistan region within 10 to 20 years after the death of Khusro II in 628 AD. The issues with different mint names occasionally share the same reverse die, which suggests that the entire group was produced at a single local mint northeast of the Sasanian territories for use along the Silk Road.
