CABO DAKHLA: 8 coin set, 2006/AH1427, The set includes: 1 peseta - 5 Santimat (camel), 5 pesetas - 25 Santimat (whale), 10 pesetas - 50 Santimat (Fennec Fox), 25 pesetas - 1¼ dirham (vulture), 50 pesetas - 2½ dirhams (men on camels), bimetal 100 pesetas - 5 dirhams and bimetal 200 pesetas - 10 dirhams depict men in traditional costumes, 500 pesetas - 25 dirhams (Spanish colonial era building). The lower five denominations are a zinc alloy. The obverse of the coins depict a palm tree, Uncirculated.
Cabo Dakhla (Cape of Dakhla) is a former Spanish colonial outpost in North Africa that is claimed by the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic and is controlled by Morocco. Its chief industries seem to be fishing and providing prostitutes for the Moroccan soldiers occupying the area. The coins have legends in both Arabic and Spanish are denominated in both Sahawawi Pesetas and Moroccan Dirhams. View details
