MING: bronze mirror (13.36g), 45mm, zhuàng yuán jí dì ("attaining the highest score in the Imperial Examination") crudely written around button, surrounded by dotted and solid borders, discovered in Central Asia, likely a provincial version of an auspicious mirror popular during the Ming and Qing period (cf. example in the collection of the Temple of Confucius and Guozijian Museum), VF.
